Etsy payouts into QuickBooks or Xero, without the spreadsheet pain
Upload the payment statement CSV from Etsy. BetsyPayouts splits sales, refunds, fees, ads, shipping labels, sales tax and bank deposits into a balanced monthly journal you can import in one step.
1. Upload your Etsy statement
2. Check the monthly totals
Amounts show the effect on your Etsy balance. Every journal balances (debits equal credits).
Check how your rows were read
Row types found in your file. Change the account group if a type landed in the wrong place.
3. Choose your accounting software and account names
Account names
These must match accounts that already exist in your chart of accounts. Change the names to match yours.
Sales tax: if the Amount on your sales includes tax the buyer paid, and Etsy remits it for you, point "Sales tax" at the same account as "Sales income" so income is not overstated. If your sales amounts exclude tax, use a liability account.

How it works
- Download your payment account statement from Etsy as a CSV.

- Pick QuickBooks Online or Xero and match the account names to your books.

Questions
Is my financial data safe?
Your CSV is processed entirely in your browser. It is never sent to our servers. Only the payment check talks to our server, and it never sees your file.
Why not just import the payout as one deposit?
Etsy deposits the net amount after fees, refunds and taxes. Booking that single amount as income understates sales and hides fees. A monthly journal records each piece in the right account.
What accounts do I need first?
A clearing account for Etsy, plus accounts for sales, refunds, fees, advertising, shipping labels and sales tax. Use the Account names box above to match your own names. Deposits go to the bank account you name.
What if a row isn't recognised?
Unknown row types go to an "Other" account and you get a warning, so nothing is silently dropped.
Does it support other platforms?
Etsy first. eBay and PayPal are planned.
Refunds?
Contact us within 14 days if the file does not import and we cannot fix it, and we will refund you.
